This page describes how Log Spend Auditor and this website handle information. Log Spend Auditor is a local-first desktop command-line tool: its analysis runs on your own machine.

The product runs locally

  • Log Spend Auditor runs on your computer. The analysis engine does not send raw Splunk events to us.
  • The CLI collects no usage analytics or telemetry.
  • Splunk credentials (such as a REST token) are read locally and are used only to connect to the Splunk instance you specify. They are not uploaded to us.
  • Reports are generated and stored on your machine.

Licensing and payments (Lemon Squeezy)

  • Pro features require a paid license; Community is free and needs no license. Purchases and free Community orders are handled through Lemon Squeezy. For paid purchases, Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record and processes payment and order information under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • When you activate, validate or deactivate a license, the tool contacts the Lemon Squeezy license service. Only the licensing data required for that operation is transmitted: your license key and an installation label (the operating system name plus a random identifier; never your computer's hostname). As with any internet connection, the service can also see your IP address.
  • The tool contacts Lemon Squeezy only for activation, deactivation, and for Pro audits when a periodic re-validation is due. The demo and the Community Quickscan do not contact it.
  • No Splunk credentials, Splunk host data, reports, dataset names, queries or raw events are sent to Lemon Squeezy.
  • Your license key and activation details are stored in a small file on your own computer. They are not stored on our servers.

This website

  • This website is static. It does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, advertising, or third-party scripts or fonts.
  • The hosting provider may generate ordinary server or CDN logs (for example IP address, requested page and browser type) as part of serving the site.
